Chaos Seed English Translation Released! (SNES)

Dynamic-Design Translation Team announced the release of Chaos Seed!  It's part RPG, part SIM, part Adventure, and at times involves a lot of resource management. In the game you play the part of a Dousen or "Cave Hermit" who is tasked with the job of healing areas of the land that have become unbalanced and lost their energy. This is where the resource management aspect of the game comes in to play as you must build and maintain an Enchanted Cave in order to channel energy back into the earth. A large group of NPCs and monsters will both aid and hinder you in your progress to restore the land to its former self. This is not the only aspect of the game, however, as there are portions of each Scenario in which you must venture in to town to progress events in the storyline. The choices you make during these events can drastically alter the way each Scenario plays out, allowing for multiple endings and adding much incentive to replay each part of the story.

Royal Stone (Sega GG)

Royal Stone is the sequel to Crystal Warriors! The game follows the story of Eva, a former Knight of Martalia, exiled from her kingdom for betraying and turning on her own squad on the front lines, an act of apparent cowardice. Can´t say much more than that! The game plays similarly to its younger sister, with the enemy units being "unknown" until you either scan them or engage in a battle sequence with them. Each character has an element, which makes him or her strong versus and weak against other elements. I loved Crystal Warriors when I was younger, and am very much looking forward to playing this!

Due to some marvelous hacking by a guy named z80gaiden (who has helped out Shining Force Central´s Moogie with a Shining Force: Final Conflict translation), we have plenty of space for text data! Further, thanks to TheMajinZenki who so recently translated the script for JoJo`s Bizarre Adventure, all of the non-dialog and approximately two-thirds of the story text has been translated. Patch is now done, enjoy!

Ys V Kefin, Lost City of Sand (SNES)

Aeon Genesis has, at long last, released their translation of Ys 5: Kefin, Lost Kingdom of Sand. Until now, this was the last story in the lengthy Ys history to not be told in English in some form or other. The translation was an immensely difficult task and hit several nasty bumps in the road, but the resulting patch is highly polished and well worth playing.
